Something I read and would like to point out: they say they made over 100 characters, including Justforkix (so he's making a return after the 2006 film), and I feel like I heard the name Metallurgix before
I mean, this will better have some top level production value behind it. It's the first time since Deux Romains en Gaule that an Asterix production was greenlit for TV.
I'm hoping for a narrative arch that will bridge all 52 episodes even.
Asterix and the Vikings, which is also the last 2D Asterix film
I heard Uderzo didn't want Asterix to have a TV series (can't confirm), but I guess making a *spin-off* series focusing on animals was a compromise, and the page states he was involved in the making
If i'm not mistake, its a character of first comics(1-5), isn't it?
Oh yeah

It saddens me to think how Goscinny was only able to see 3 Asterix films, and one of them (Asterix the Gaul) is like a bastard child (made without him or Uderzo)

Even worse, the animation studio he and Uderzo built was closed down shortly after his death because Uderzo didn't have the drive to keep it going. So they only ever produced two movies, the Twelve Tasks and the Dalton Ballad. I like both for their humor.
There were plans for some Dogmatix short films... Maybe that's why Uderzo greenlit the TV series so shortly before his death.
the dogmatix series got cancelled?
