Feels like a pointless change. Pretty much every Discord already has a system similar to this in place.

Like another server, we could make every channel read-only except some channels such as #general or #help where they can still write

so at least they will be able to ask why they can't write in other channels

But by experience that didn't seem to bring more people to talk, if they don't want to talk in the first place
