like when you have activity in community
for example you make fan art
and people recognize it you can be granted with blacksmith role
or even get access to modding channels
I'm against combining #other-asterix-games and #other-games . Why dump Gallic War, Mega Madness, Friends and etc. with random games unrelated to Asterix? I've muted #other-games
Edit: well, not really muted, but I chose that I'm only notified about mentions there
Hm yeah you have a point there.
Honestly I'm happy with the channel system as it is 🙂
For roles a simple pinned message in the # channel would work perfectly.
And yeah, it would be nice to have all the roles explained, like...
Villagers and Legionaries = new members have to choose one of these to get access to the rest of the server, these roles are functionally the same
Blacksmiths = modders (people who make 3D models, retexturing, trainers, modify the games...)
ELB/OSome = former members of Etranges Libellules and/or current members of OSome Studio
Readers = people who enjoy the Asterix comics
Cinephiles = people who enjoy the Asterix movies
Bards = musicians
Fully grown Gaul = people with access to the NSFW channel
Admin, Moderator, Speedrunners, Artists, all game title roles are self-explanatory
Oh yeah, Fully grown Gaul should be still renamed, because it sounds silly when combined with the Legionaries role
Should we have the Blacksmiths role just replace all creative roles or should it be moding exclusive?
Also we have the druid role which I think is more or less the same thing :/
we have here 2d artists and 3d artists
i think it would be okay if we call them all blacksmiths i think 🤔
or we can separate those two roles
Ah yeah, blacksmiths for artistics and druid for game moders and hacker extraordinaire!
