I like how the reason is "the Romans mustn't notice Epidemais' boat" when Epidemais is ON THE BEACH SELLING HIS STUFF
the only time XXL 3 becomes fun is when the game gives you the objective to beat up a shit ton of Romans like at Caesar's place, the boat mission in Crete or that one side mission in Tyre
cause then it at least feels like what an XXL game should feel like, bashing the shit out of legions of Romans
I really liked that mission where you had to burn piles of dead leaves
But then if you want more romans, you use hard mode
But hard mode also makes them less fun
that mission is very exciting. it always makes me jump from excitement
And the ranged romans are not fun in this game at all
it does make sense in movie tho to use stealth and be smart but its done for exposition
but bruh in asterix games it about action
It's above drive, it's about power
