Russia already fucked up the world balance
now EU will have to do something to balance things out

Eu can both challenge New USSR's military and could easily starve them out by blocking all trade.
The question is if they're willing to do that.
But they better because with a nut job like Putin I doubt he'd be satisfied if he was to take Ukraine. And the more ground they allow him to take the harder it would be to deal with.
