With how available 3D animation software is now there's just so much heartless shit being shat out. And all of them seem to want to try and imitate Pixar for some. Which is a damn shame because there is such a VAST ocean of interesting artstyles and combinations of artstyles and mediums that can be done to create truly amazing things...

Indeed. I just watched Turning Red with a Russian voiceover and it was refreshing after a few other 3D cartoons which felt kinda cringe, not just because the animation wasn't as good but the voice acting was screwed in one way or another, or the characters were bland... or it just wasn't interesting enough in general. Initially I found the style of TR a little off-putting, I thought it was like Steven Universe but 3D, however I stopped paying attention to it pretty quick
