I was talking to a German person about Infirmofpurpus and I asked them to translate his little song (unique for the German dub of the cartoon) when he went through the forest.
Now that I know what he is singing about, I started pitying him a bit more. :<

Yeah, most characters' names change in different translations... Other names of this character I know are ||Plutoqueprévus, Handzumgrus, Previdentissimus, Kaukasus, Ardeco, Noodles, Avestrus and Kluska.|| I took these from the different translations of the comic and the cartoon...

@Stinkek Regarding the lyrics, I don't feel any pity for him. On the contrary, he's more sympathetic in my eyes since he actually misses his home and would rather spend his life there than at the front.

Your comment on the lyrics
Well, in the lyrics he says '*my motherland is so far away, I wish I could be there...*', therefore he misses his home. He doesn't want to be in a faraway land risking his life. He also says '*With our hearts so brave, we will endure every pain*'. That seems to me like he's still hopeful that he can make it through the hardships and manage to return home at some point. Combine that with the ending of the film where he flies away, and there just might be a connection. My point is that I like the fact that he tries to stay strong, survive, and one day return home where he can be happy.
Ah, it just confused me that you said that you didn't feel any pity for him before that. I guess I'm just emotionally attached to him, as stupid as it sounds since he is a Roman and the Romans are the bad guys in this franchise and etc...

I'm still surprised there aren't any overweight Romans in XXL1, and in XXL2 they are present but they are parodies (Pac-Man Romans and Larry Craft). The comics show a lot of Romans like that, and a certain notable legionary who appeared in a comic and a cartoon is like that.
