I guess it doesn't hurt as at the point they get spoiled they are probably deep in enough that there's no canceling it. But I guess one can argue it hurts companies who want to "generate hype". But spoilers also tend to generate a lot of hype themselves partly because of how 'naughty' it feels.

It's the publisher's fault if they don't announce their game before submitting it for testing. :juliuspingus:
