I should be happy because he is finally free from the abusive centurion and nobody was ever kind to him in the camp. The small legionary with a sharp nose was even EXCITED when the centurion ordered to boil him.
But we don't know how long the potion's effect will last. Similarly to Obelix as a kid, he fell into the cauldron full of potion, but Obelix drank all of it. When the Roman fell into it, very soon the potion shot up and he returned to normal size and became weightless. Did he unintentionally drink any of it or not? Will he remain weightless forever or he will drop on the ground in a couple of days?.. Where he will fly to?
He definitely drank some of it considering he was transformed after he fell in the cauldron. Now, I don't know for how many hours the effect lasts. It depends on the potion itself as well, since we don't know what Panoramix cooked up. My estimate would be a week I suppose, although this is fictional stuff we're talking about. Does the comic that features him give an alternative ending to his story or to Prolix's?
It's complicated...
The cartoon is actually based on two comics, the comic of the same name and "Asterix and the Soothsayer", but it takes more from the second one. Prolix appears in the second one (and reappears in one more book) ,and the Roman only appears in the first one.
Prolix's and Infirmofpurpus' original fates were different in the comics. Prolix didn't get hit with a menhir and I think he gave up being a soothsayer. Infirmofpurpus regained weight (lol) on the night after his visit to the Gauls, and near the end of the comic he is beaten up with the rest of the legion, and the owl is still flying near him.
Good to know Prolix simply changed his outlook on life canonically. I'm divided on Infirmofpurpus though. Live as a weather balloon or stay at the camp and constantly be beaten up by the Gauls? That's a true life dilemma.
||He should give up and stab himself with his own sword to death||
Yeah, dilemma...
Dark. Don't you feel bad for the little owl? The bird really liked him. He could go back to his birthplace, live with his family at the very least.
I'm just being sadistic, I like being like that with characters who appeal to me.
But I like to think he could fly somewhere to live a more quiet and peaceful life.
I can't be sadistic towards anyone, unless they're an NPC in a game

Honestly, I like the Roman so much I just want to || hug || him so hard
He'd probably be afraid of your intentions LUL

I remember seeing one animation by a guy who animated Asterix and Obelix

In his defense, you don't see many fan animations for "Asterix". And this is still way better than the endless copies of official artwork that bring nothing new.
I saw this idle animation a while ago, still satisfying to look at
