With Windows you can use dxwnd. No idea about Linux though.
so theres no -window command or something alike?
For tha gamemodule.elb - you need to first apply the 64-bit patch by ipatix and then you can apply the widescreen patch.
Maybe the original file works with wine. But I doubt that.

that is kind of weird because I needed 32bit compatibilty mode for it to start
but whatever.. not so important
Or maybe it was the wrongly patched one.
