Did you tried to re-install XXL ? If it was working in the past and it's working with everything expect XXL now it must come from XXL

sometimes it's a slot problem
make sure to always use the same usb or bluetooth port

XXL should support most controllers, only you need a program like Joy2Key to bind the right stick to all camera directions properly
If XXL detects no inputs coming from your controller, use said program above to entirely map your controller on keyboard inputs.

you have your controller inputs and you bind what button you want for any key on your keyboard

When pressing buttons on your controller they turn yellow here
Double click each button and give it a keyboard letter
And put that same letter in XXL's configuration
