Sure, it wouldn't work at all
nope
if you are a good game designer you can adjust the game for specific genre
now how that would be welcomed by players thats another story
now how it happened with XXL3
some bad game designer and game producer decided to make it semi-isometric
its like you take Mario and turn it into strategy game
in the universe of that game it would never work
but if you separate it from universe it could have turned into something interesting
These gauls are supposed to be super-powerful and over-human to keep resisting an Empire. If you want to make a good RPG, you'd have to limit them at least in the first half of the game, which would go against their essence. That's why in Friends game they only placed them as secondary characters.
remember lore of books and comics is different from games lore
these two are different categories
And if you want them to fight you need to do sets of tasks first
any literature creation exists on its on
when comes the moment to adapt it for games you need to go for certain sacrifices
Yeah, but if the game does not follow the source material in its basics, then it would just be a sad attempt to milk the franchise off. Like what they made with Star Wars. You can do it, but it's almost certain to not be among the best things of that universe.
you have to go for this just to adapt it for gameplay
you cant directly copy paste it
look at the retro age of asterix games
they all have been through big changes
