I'm curious how much TAS with Asterix XXL2 [DS] would take, because it seems to me that this game is really damn long
I started it and went to the first zone of the game x)
just to see how it was but I don't think i'll continue on desmume since a better emulator is coming and may be implemented into BizHawk with TAStudio which will be more eazy to do
the only thing I see for RNG is WCW challenges which are far away from the beginning, or maybe statues for 100% in the boxes but I don't really know how they work

idk, quite well ( though blindly ) I went through the Venetia and I was at the end of it in an hour... maybe, so I don't even want to imagine how long the whole game would be, already apart from this game is definitely a bad port

Does anyone here play "Asterix and Friends"? It's not an action game, but I wonder why the creators chose to make new villagers instead of using the canon ones (Vitalstatistix, Cacofonix, etc.), and the only canon Gauls there are Asterix, Obelix and Getafix (who won't be seen at early stages).
There are some who play the game in this server. I think one them's Obelixix Prime. Maybe the people who made it knew next to nothing about Asterix and only wanted to get some money out of the brand name rather than staying true to the story.
The game villagers are very similar to the canon ones though. Lunatix is similar to Geriatrix, Democratix - Vitalstatistix, Statistix - Getafix (though Getafix is in the game, but in Egypt), Lyrix - Cacofonix, and Ironix with Baltix are similar to Unhygienix with Fulliautomatix but their body proportions or jobs are swapped.
Lack of rights for the source material?
I guess that's the only logical explanation?
