My mom bought it in January 2008 as I had moved to my grandparents with the fat PS2 as I was gonna stay there to the end of the schoolyear + holidays. She expected to need it to play some DVDs like Harry Potter movies, but ultimately chose to wait for my return to let me unpack it. Such a thing ended up unessessary however, as when I returned, my mind was completely focused on the DS as I discovered it at a neighbor, and I could still use the regular PS2 right away. 14 years later and the most that happened to that PS2 Slim is slight decoloration of one half of the box from the sun's exposure. I tuckered it away now.
