This garbage isn't going to replace Vegas for me...

Can't even handle a simple edit like this.
Download Yansim_insane_giggle.mp4:

Now Discord forgot how to let play an MP4 file in it. πŸ˜’

@Stinkek If you want discord to play your video, encode it as H.264 instead of HEVC.
Stinkek
Oh...
PegPeregoGaucho
wait discord can only play H.264 :thinkW:weird
pyramidensurfer
Well, pretty much everything can play H.264. HEVC/H.265 is not yet as established.
NoTeefy
@pyramidensurfer it also depends on the container. It won't play videos from matroska containers πŸ˜„

@Stinkek Adobe's programs are super ressource heavy... It's more of a pc problem, not the software itself
NoTeefy
@Stinkek After Effects sucks ass though, they don't even provide multithreaded renderings... You need to pay for a third-party plugin/software like renderboss

I don't know what "multithreaded" means, but Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects work a lot better than Premiere for me.

A processor consists of cores. Each core is one "working unit" which means it can do *one thing* per core at the *exact* same time. Nowadays processors use something called hyperthreading or Hyper-V (virtualisation) which is like a pseudo-functionality that allows a core to do more than one thing at the same time in an isolated instance. Those things aren't processed at the *exact* same time but get split up and processed in between each other (kind of like if you'd do two tasks and swap between them after each action you had to do/take care of). This way you get things done faster. Multithreading just means using more than one thread/core, however After Effects always processes a video on a single core; it doesn't matter if your pc consists of 16 cores or just 2...

Well that got a bit techie but that covers it pretty much πŸ™ˆ
