keyboard is also disabled if you have a save in which you used a controller
and if you wanna use keyboard again you need to get rid of that save

No difference between UXXL and the normal game when it comes to input, so I won't be able to resolve your issue...
Maybe using Adriens QOL Patch can help, but theres no guarantee
