Here is the video which shows how to get a passive lock at the beggining of egypt. It will only saves about 2 minutes, because at some point you will need to die to activate a blue light switch. (It won't be there with the passive lock, and it is at the place where you can get the second torch.)

I want to mention a thing.
If the rotation platform goes to fast down it's because you hit the wheel to often so the platform was already all the way up. Or you hit it not fast enough.
When I tried it I regocnized that the platform either goes down to fast so I don't have enough hight to get up to the hill or it was slow and I got the perfect hight which allowed me to make that jump.
But I don't know if you already knew that so I wanted to mention it here aswell

If you guys don't know this skip ( starting at 1:20 ) I think it could save some time
Same problem as with the Egypt thing: We know about this skip, but it makes the game crash on PC
