This is the second time this happened to me. I don't know if it was yesterday but Asterix didn't stand at the cable car either as I made this section "without" the glitch. Maybe it is just bad luck. Someone else should try this and see if it is in some kind of connection with this glitch.
I know for a fact that Asterix is not at the cable car when you cancel the jump pad flight too early, so it is very likely to be related to that
