I was using this cheat program to make Asterix behave as if he drank the magic potion and be invincible, the only difference is that he can't break metal crates. If I did a speedrun with it, it would be unfair.
I also don't plan to speedrun the game because
- I'm forgetful and absent-minded, which would lead to me forgetting or screwing up specific moments
- I live with my family so I could be interrupted at any moment
- I don't see how a speedrun would benefit me. Trying to beat a game as fast as possible doesn't sound like fun to me, but rather stressful

If I wanted to speedrun XXL1 and didn't have distractions, I probably would. It runs nice and smoothly. Unlike XXL2 remaster...

You could try the Potion% category, using the proper cheat device.
It's a speedrun category of XXL where you need to beat the game as fast as possible but with the magic potion cheat ON all along
Takes about 45 minutes to complete.
and you only have to avoid crashes like every two minutes, @Martyste Tendertail xD
Well only in Gaul I need to wait for Obelix at one spot but otherwise it's smooth like butter
I crashed that game literally everywhere, when I tried a potion%. That' why I stopped xD
||It's not the potion cheat device that caused crashes, is it? Because I haven't seen XXL1 crash since I stopped trying to switch to other tabs by opening Task Manager.||
The game crashes when it doesn't know anymore where your second character is but it has to teleport him to you. Like at catapults for example. And since you just skip absolutely everything the second character gets stuck all the time
Cuka and Marty somehow made a run without any problem.
But mine kept crashing all the time and I just gave up xD
