My father doesn't seem to agree with this, but Portal does try to give the player the feeling of isolation
Obviously, I'll never truly relate to the feeling of being lost in XXL as a child
I barely remember it from back then
I wouldn't get lost either, I would only sometimes suck at figuring out a puzzle or clearing a certain battle.
When I say lost I mean absorbed in the experience
I am notorious for getting lost in every game except King's Field
But even I had no trouble with Asterix XXL
I remember that the Village in flames really got to me
as I had previously seen Asterix Conquers America
I'd sit near the central hut which has the most flames in it ( Fulliautomatix' workshop ) and watch the eternal flames for a long while
