Like... - top-down camera angle - no vertical jumps - objects that you jinx/collect but they don't give you anything (though, I think if you complete everything in HP4, you unlock a video about the game, but it's been very long ago since I saw it) - buying upgrades with the main collectibles (in HP4, you buy Collector's Cards with beans) - interacting with objects using magic - multiplayer is possible

Also, I think HP4, while less varied, is more fair, and it's impossible to fall into pits.

We're talking about the game though. It was my first HP game, and I heard many people didn't like it. Makes sense, considering it was made right after three platformers.

Well that's the point: XXL 1 and 2 are common to both timelines, and then it diverges to either OG or XXL 3
