That's weird, the game can go 60 on even 2006 laptops
A framerate cap might be caused by laptop battery settings that cap fps of the screen
yeah and it ran fine like a year ago on the same system, i tried older drivers, compatability settings. it's on a pc and i checked the power settings and gpu and cpu usage is at 1-3%
It's unfortunately outside my helping range, i never encountered that issue, or anyone here

maybe reinstalling windows will do the trick
i haven't tried the original XXL. only XXL 2. but i can tell you that XXL 2 is working fine for me.
if you have same issue with other games
then you need to format your PC
it's just this one, other more demanding games run just fine
when was last time you formatted your pc?

i dont get much more than >60 fps, but thats probably because its an old ass game
yeah i used to get constant 60fps, now it's an average of 45 with barely any system usage. maybe it's a reason for me to try the romastered edition 😄
