Yeah that's what I also thought, but that's what the devs initially chose

So these concept arts were probably placeholders for an older version of the Outfit selection interface, meaning that the devs planned to have 8 outfits (with 1 Asterix + 1 Obelix outfit unlocked per country?), but then devs decided to divide number of outfits by 2, and have only 1 outfit for 1 character per country

There are some gameplay screenshots I saw back in 2018 which had Asterix wearing that red short instead of the blue one in normandy but can't find those screenshots again on google image :(
