that is a feature of the OEngine™️
Garfield Kart: Furious Racing and My Universe: Cooking Star Restaurant, both published by Microids, also seem to have only one save, but those of course were made by other teams.
I mean Racing games don't really need multiple save files, you can most likely revisit old races and change the difficulty
Actually this seems to be a tendency for modern games in general. Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure and Super Lucky's Tale have no save slots
It's like they dont want you to play the game
Can we Just appreciate that someone worked on Asterix franchise after all this long time even though the result wasn't good ?
I mean, I can see where you're coming from, but personally I would have preferred having no new games at all over having childhood memories somewhat destroyed by Microids ^^'
working on franchise doesnt mean shitting and buttchering it as much as possible
the mistakes they did are hardly toleratable
i would prefer Microids closure and full stop of any Asterix XXL franchise development
get over it these games are old and are interesting for small amount of consumers which is aka not profitable
Asterix games are more like a nostalgia storage then a standalone games that can compete with modern games
not even talking about lore which is very limited to certain era in history
If the original would have never existed, and microids would have released this as a standalone product, it would never ever have been gotten this much attention. The nostalgia is what all the good reviews must be living on
and people who cant get over it and will give the game positive reviews no matter what cause "It iS mY ChiLdHooD GaMe"
thing is that i believe that consumer should at least be more or less familiar with the product because as long as consumer eats everything studio can give no shit for quality
If they would have released the games for a third of the price, then maybe I would be a bit thankful, but releasing an inferior version for this much... no thanks
and by throwing money on low effort product consumer not only supports the low effort of studio but also encourages to do it more and more
I was amazed at Subnautica Below Zero being released for pre order at £20
