Comic blue shields are too iconic
Yup the blue shields are indeed cooler
i prefer red ones because they are more traditional to roman culture and also game design wise its a better idea
I would download a mod that just made all base game shields blue
man blue shields blend in so much with environment

Red formations would look so strange since we're used to the blue shielded ones
red formation is overkill
I mean, they exist in XXL2
the reason developers changed the shield colors is purely game design purpose
red shields are easier to spot
and you might not see enemy right away
