Did you do basic debugging?`Check you have write access to your game executable
Or just copy it to your desktop and do the patching there
It said "successfully applied patch" but when I start the game it won't start
actually, I could finally update the XXL1 patcher to emit warnings if somethings going wrong. One problem with modern windows is that it sometimes won't report access errors to the application and will do the modifications to a temporary file.
