Hmm... I'm not really available during the working days
Just got the Switch, at long last, today. I'm stating to imagine how nice would it be to play XXL on it, on the go.
Well, homebrew is a thing. And it could probably handle GC emulation somewhat
Well, if it had Wii U support, I think that by using Nintendon't inside its virtual Wii we could go Gamecube native lol.
But again it's not gonna happen like this at all
i'm still amazed we can use the Wii U as a pretty safe way to speedrun the game... if you have a gamecube shaped controller or you know how to edit the controller settings in the files so it looks normal with your Dualshock shaped controllers
Remember the Wii U with Nintendon't will behave exactly as if it was a Wii
The ability to then record the footage in HDMI beats everything
I mean, it doesn't matter how good we can make the PC display, it's still unstable, not always reliable
So, if I get to move to ESA one day, i'll bring XXL either on Wii or Wii U
Wii version for sure. If possible one wants to use only official things
Though jumping is different from GC to PC, so you'd have to practice that
Some tricks would have slightly different timing
Like the hover we do at the docs of Normandy from the round tent. Jumping up on that tent without jumping on the boxes first is actually kinda hard and requires a setup for it to work at all
Probably effects the Helvetia bridge skip as well
Could also just bring a laptop and have them capture of HDMI out if you set the screens to be mirrored
That way one would not have to relearn tricks
With exceptions for things like my fucked up Turler movement...
I think it has to do with how my PC renders in the Romans. Not much I can do about though as that is a hardware based difference
