After the place where you have to fight the 5 armies with the magic potions you have to beat up three golden guys, then use this ... err, whatever it is called, I don't know. I'm sure we could use the magic potion to jump onto on of the wooden poles holding the rope we could reach the end of the rope thing without having to beat the 3 golden guys.

I really want to skip the three centurions honestly they're really difficult to kill
If not done with the magic potion they can ruin your run just cause you have to chase them around
yeah, I know. I hate them too :/
Perhaps you can try walking around the event that triggers the lock somehow
Or look in the place with the five armies if you can jump somewhere where you're not supposed to jump

I wish I had save states everywhere I want. Having to go all the way back to the magic potion just for another 7 seconds of failed trying is absolutely annoying
You could try dolphin for that
