but you're right - should be the preferred way right now. I mean I can always do that if I happen to commentate over a PB to get one of our runs onto the board with actual commentary
I mean it wouldn't really be a problem with a CPU dedicated to rendering, like some 12-16 cores stuff but I'm running on a overclocked i7-7700k which is awesome in terms of game performance
but it wasn't made for extensive rendering stuff^^
@Nekin would you mind giving me your settings in OBS? You're recording through NVENC too, right?

okay, gonna try that then. You might wanna look into NVENC with a higher bitrate though
it's so chilled if you own a GTX starting from the 660 model
they have a separate chip on them for recordings and they don't need to recalculate the frames when recording which takes like 0 performance from your system

Was the stream from your XXL run on h264 @5000?
Just select a separate encoder in the recording tab
