I guess I'll do one or two runs, probably also a trilogy run, and then that's it
well technically yes if we take Failentin' and Noxus' experiences into consideration but NMG is no major glitches
which means pretty much the same as ANY% with the exception of having big/major skips banned. There's no general rule for the allowance/disallowance of bugs and has to be evaluated for each individual game
It's usually like this:
```
Any% = Complete the game as fast as possible, with all glitches/strats and the progression doesn't matter. You can technically do a run with 0% completion.
NMG% = No Major Glitches, complete the game as fast as possible, with all glitches/strats but the major ones are banned and the progression doesn't matter. You can technically do a run with 0% completion.
100%/All Achievements% = Complete the game with all of its content in the fastest way. All glitches/strats are allowed, but you need to get your progression to the maximum possible.
Low% = Beat the game with the lowest amount of progression. IMPORTANT: The time itself comes second. If someone finishes a run in 2 hours with having completed 1% of the game but another one gets it in 24 hours and 0%, he'll be the WR holder. Which means the general order is: percentage of the game > time.
Chaos%/Randomizer% = Those categories usually consist of the same rules as Any% but require you to use a modification that triggers special and randomized game events all X seconds. Some of them won't have timed events but rather randomize the way you can achieve things in games like loot/dungeon keys etc.
Glitchless%/Normal% = ALL glitches are banned. The only allowed things are strats that are intended by the game mechanics.
Classic% = Usually used in GTA games. They are like Any% but ban a *very major* skip that destroys half of "known" Any% run. Thus this category was made
```
Those are the most common ones I'd say. You can always add own ideas of categories but they heavily depend on the game. We have Laurel or Potion% as an example

There are games with low% WRs that are like 2 weeks long
because they had to wait for that long so that the game would corrupt its memory and allows you to skip to the credits without having a single percentage in your game progression
and then there's 100% runs of Breath of the Wild which took like 54 hours back at release
the current WR is 23:29:14

oh look at the last one on the boards
he took 68 hours 8 months ago :>
oh and they changed their ruleset
``Because of the length of the run, runners are allowed 2 pauses during the run.
• Each pause cannot be longer than 9 hours each. ``
That wasn't the case at the beginning though^^
