You need to make sure that before the cart with asterix turns towards the stone, a short distance away, you need to pull the rope so that it turns red, then Asterix will gain maximum speed and roll to the other side!

I really like this stone skip as well. I feel like somebody (Yarny?) already had this idea before and did it. I think... Maybe... Somewhere way too foggy in my head. But I wouldn't know why we decided against it then
