I can't believe he didn't have a precise idea of how to beat/spawn them properly...
Well, yes and no.
It is more or less a combination of again spawning them offscreen close to a wall and having good movement to always hit all roman instead of sometimes letting them go behind you which results in less Roman spawning in front of you.
But that's just a really simplified explanation
you can see it in his last PB video on the speedrun com leaderboard. He messed up a little towards the end, but you can see the generally idea of his movement in the beginning
I'm trying some stuff right now with the first 100 Helvetia, but nothing works so far ^^ (as expected)
