Like a gunsmith who doesn't kill :)
but they all weren't the stereotype of cheaters I guess
Cheat tools tend to be amazing for practice and such.
True that, but I only discovered that when focusing on Speedrun communities
I mean back in the days they just helped with the convenience (in MMOs atleast)
Even wallhack can be good as you can watch someone move around and compare the sound they make so that in a real game you can just listen.
like they would ignore client-sided animations because the server-cooldowns were lower
which allowed you to shoot your magical spells faster and shit
That sounds like an exploit and a half.
or automated potting which always kept your hp/mana on a perfect balance without wasting potions
Well I never said it was something legal x)
It really looked funny to your raid members
because your character would just reset mid-animation and throw another fireball
