Game never runs out of ways to surprise.
On another topic. We should start to look at the wording to be used for the rules of XXL any% as well as the tools that will be allowed.
So far I'm thinking something in the lines of .
"Asterix & Obelix XXL any%
Any official copy allowed, for PC the community made patches for running the game on modern computers and a widescreen patch are allowed. Emulation via Dolphin is allowed.
Any use of cheat tools and the likes are prohibited.
You can use any controller or control scheme to run the game and you can use tools such as JoyToKey for 1:1 input mapping (often required for camera). Features such as turbo buttons and free scroll mouse wheels are not allowed.
A run start by hitting "New Game" on the main menu and time starts the instant you can move after the intro cutscene. Time ends when you hit the final button in Rome and trigger the final cutscene. It's not required to reach the credits as you can die during final cutscene which crashes the game after letting you save the game."
BTW, I don't have moderation in Speedrun.com xD I'm just throwing out ideas.

It's getting kinda late, but for the people still around I have a big announcement!
I will be at ''Bourg La Run 2019" which is the french equivalent of GDQ, ESA, ...
This will be the first marathon event for a XXL game if I'm not mistaken.
The event will take place in Bourg La Reine next to Paris from the 8th to 11th of November, it will be open to the public and it will be also broadcasted live on Twitch.
This year the money is raised for the "ICM Institute" who does research around neurological and psychiatric diseases.
Here in France since the first edition of the event in 2014 it has become the big speedrun thing around here. The last year edition has been watched by 3500 viewers on average and 8700 at the most.
So wish me luck
