it‘s so annoying when you literally have the hardware to build it in but no thermal paste... 😦
Long story short, my old (2017) mainboard got delivered with production fault and had several bugs therefore
I then sent it in and had to wait like 6 weeks and I even bought a cheap/used one during that time because I had no exchange board for that CPU socket
They returned it without doing anything and said „we couldn‘t find a problem - the system booted up“
I mean yeah, no shit Sherlock. But that only works if you boot up your stuff at stock settings
And even then it‘s like a 50/50 thing
I then just lived with it but after my last complete PC cleaning things became worse and I decided to change to another CPU because of rendering and stuff
and yeah, now I‘m waiting for my freaking thermal paste to arrive :/
One of the worst pieces of hardware to come in faulty that one. Why didn't you send it back a second time back then? Thermal paste is indeed annoying by the way. Thankfully I still have some left in case I ever need it again. I hope I won't xD
Well I just gave up - they just lost a customer, although I have to say that I really dig their hardware
it‘s just an unlucky thing with that model and their support sucks, so yeah
A lazy day at the office perhaps? You can't risk it twice and lose more of your time though, so I understand your move.
It was a real expensive and high quality Asus board btw
I now just went for a cheaper MSI board with support for my new AMD CPU
Which is also kind of a test. I‘m not a big fan of their CPUs. I mean, I often used it in builds for some mates but I would never go for it on my own system.
I just thought I may give it a try because the prices of Intel‘s multicore (over 6 cores) CPUs are close to insanity
let‘s just hope everything works as intended with the new hardware and I‘m more than happy about it 🙈
sorry for the offtopic in this channel btw 😮
Wait. Why did you start the timer after the intro, @Martyste Tendertail ?
Don't you tell me you never knew about the timing change!?
