I did the Helvetia flybash only once and I wasn't even speedrunning the whole game. But when I speedran the game today, I managed to do double jumps after a few flybashes...
I also never attempted Tardis...
@Noxus94 You don't need any resets, if you run an empty category. 🥳
I would like to have a clear idea of what may and mustn't be in a speedrun:
May be:
- Tardis glitch, even if the widescreen patch is used (I don't use widescreen)
- death
- world restart
Must not be:
- cheat use
In an Any% speedrun, you can do everything the game let's you do without using external software, like a trainer.
If I did Potion%, I could use +9 Trainer for it?
If I understand the rules on speedrun.com correctly, you are only allowed to use my trainer from #downloads with only the infinite potion cheat enabled in that category (or I guess any other cheating tool that has the same effect).
Infinite potion cheat?
The +9 Trainer has a cheat that enables
- super speed
- triple jump
- killing enemies in 1 hit
- invulnerability
BUT
- Asterix can't smash metal crates
Does your trainer do the same?
My trainer makes Asterix alway have the regular potion effect. I guess you'd need to ask a speedrun.com moderator, if anything else would qualify, especially if "super speed" is equal to "potion speed".
But just using my trainer would be the easiest method I guess.

Well, if Asterix isn't able to destroy metal crates, that would just be a disadvatage. So if your trainers "super speed" isn't faster than "potion speed" (which is kinda crucial in a SPEEDrun 😰 ), you should be fine. But I'm not a moderator, so better check with them.
