I also went to the donut formation that guards the potion, and it actually guarded it. During my speedrun, it didn't surround the potion but stood nearby...
there is just one thing we have to find out to make Obelix get into the cave consistantly
and that is to find out what triggers him to get in ready position in front of the bars
if he wasn't stuck there, he'd teleport into the cave every time
Ok so this is due to his position in the zone
because yeah indeed everytime he stands next to the bars
Also I had a question about grabbing the romans: it seems like sometimes Asterix isn't able to grab them when they're stunned even tho I mash the button, so I wanted to be sure: Is it possible to grab romans when you're in front of them, or is it mandatory to be slightly on their side or behind them?
Ugh, I have the same problem
I think it's just about the timing. You have to wait a little bit until you can grab them after you've stunned them
and you have to be on the very same height as them. Good example where it doesn't really work because of different height is the first fight in Greece...

Helvetia is the most difficult, Egypt is the level where we all lose a ton of time
