I can tell you how I see things...
All in speedrun is just probability...
I think I have a chance to get a run at 1:12 now... with around (5-10% chance)...
I constantly mess up things and that's why I lose runs...
My goal is just to increase this probability...
by getting better at each independent segment.
I would have to improve in Greece and Helvetia by a ton. I suck at both of them
Before I get sub 1:16.xx, I just took all my practice time to try just single regions...
When I press new game, I'm jsut considering regions independently. If I get a gold in a region, I'm glad and the run isn't "lost"...
Look, I have pretty much your time in Greece, and I'm considering it was pure luck.
Your best time still beats mine by 1s...
And now Failentin just achieved a gold at 13:30...
Then, considering all the time I have to save, I'm probably not just gonna practice Greece as an entire segment
I prefer considering a room and how to imporve the movement in it. How to improve one single roman push for instance, or how to spawn romans faster (I'll approach different angles). And when I understand precisely how it works (AND WHY it doesn't work sometimes), I'll repeat this single push multiple times...
And when I "kinda" master it, I intergrate it in a bigger segment.
Doing that helps me getting better and eliminate the frustration of bad runs...
Hm, I fear that doesn't really apply to me. Somehow I never get any better at any part, especially the fights
Last time I saw your stream, I saw your Viking fight... You didn't have a good fight and
you claim you didn't understand why ... I saw it coming because of your movement, but in tchat, it's hard to explain or to know if you want us an opinion about what we see...
Maybe you do'nt have time and I can't blame it of course, but do you watch your own runs after them ?
