@Vuce Thought of that too, tried it with another resolution already though and it worked
My levels are modified for being readable with the elbtools
@Noxus94 Which one do you use?
1280x960x32bits. The highest one I can choose ingame
Nah, I guess it really is due to the resolution, since failentin's is higher
you know, maybe those crates are aligned in your sight
And Failentin's higher res lowers his framerate
@Noxus94 Huh. I'm using another one, gonna test with that one in a few minutes
and the distance Asterix tries to cover
depends on the framerate linked to collision checks
I'm pretty sure if we forced the game into 20 fps the results would be different
I'm also wondering about PS2 and Gamecube's 50
Put simply: if your FPS are high, between each frame, if that Asterix odd momentum exists, it won't be able to go far enough before you hit next frame
If your FPS are low, Asterix can look for a further distance as he has more time to do so, and turns out that next frame the game finds him closer to the far crates than anywhere.
My only explanation so far
That is based of how Super Mario 64's engine works too
