oh, i got more message to read, I thought i reached the end
pssssst, Failentin. We don't have to discuss this if we just say "it's possible". Nobody will test it without widepatch anyways 😛
@AdrienTD With the strat we discussed earlier, we would skip the lion fight and glitch directly into the druid room, but only with Asterix. In order to get Obelix there too, you need to either die or reload the game, which would get rid of the passive lock, I think.
I wouldn't be crazy to try 2 tardis in a row personally
but oh gosh this needs a TAS to ensure if GCN aka consoles can have it
But yknow I lost 12000 frames last time, I'm back at the 750 helm challenge
Now I have to find a way to make a layout that works in 16:9 and still shows Livesplit...
Okay, after everyone voted the result is clear. Majority is for "Allow tricks that are widepatch-only"
Should we then make PC an own Speedrun.com-category?
Hard to say... We could also revert back to showing all platforms, as platforms don't obsolete eachother
that's not the thing, Marty. The thing is that widepatch-tardis would be a PC only trick and thus save over a minute more than any other console
However there aren‘t really any active console runners
You could make one for the old console runs
I know. I mean, the PS2 version itself will NEVER beat the others, so I don't feel like we are changing much things here, each version ultimately has a set ranking between the other versions. Sure, the PC version will bring the best times. But I think it doesn't matter much, as platforms don't obsolete eachothers, people can still show how fast console versions can be completed.
makes sense to just have them in the same board then 😃
