And yes it was flybashing from an army before the sector with this cave and catapult
doing that takes really long. tried that once.
not just cause it takes long, but also cause i have the urge to hold down the bash button when flybashing. can't explain why
i want to tap the button the entire time, but my mind tells me to hold down.

everytime i do flybashing, my mind tells me to hold the action button down. i try to resist but eventually i can't resist anymore.
You could try to change the way you hold the controller while mashing.
