NoTeefythe good thing is: I now know how the infinite potion glitch works and I'm able to reproduce it
NoTeefythe bad thing is that there's no area other than in Venitia where you can do it because of the requirements

NoTeefyYou need to lock/have him behind you on a very long distance
NoTeefythe triggered save (the positions only get saved by entering different areas; switching costumes only saves the costume id)
NoTeefywill then get confused because Obelix isn't in our range, this triggers an error and since the save is overlapping with the potion state the game returns out of both states
NoTeefywhich leaves you in the infinite potion state
