Can we talk about the plot of The Twelve Tasks of Asterix for a moment ? Why would the gauls just surrender if they loose during one task despite having Obelix on their side ?
It's not like Obelix is unable to defeat many legions.
But if they surrendered. That wouldn't make any sence.
The potion can only be used for protection.
Obelix surrendering to the romans wouldn't fit.

Basically the entire movie. Asterix and Obelix have to complete twelve tasks and if they mess up just one task, they have to surrender to the roman empire and become slaves of rome.
Well, in this same movie the Gauls conquer the Roman Empire and Caesar retires to live in peace with Cleopatra and Asterix knows this is a cartoon, so it's not canon
