That sounds weird. I can check soon later
@Martyste Tendertail well, if the in the PC version is giving you that, just use PSXFin emulator
As I told above, it runs even worse on PS1 emulators
Missing music, missing HUD elements
I wanted to record GW gameplay but didn't record anything... Fucking OBS and its complications with old games...
BUT I observed the Romans' actions in the game, and when they move legions around the map, there's no animation.
No intro/end screens in levels
On PC I only see Cesar attacking...
While on PS1 I see all 3 actions
When they attack Gauls, I can see them walking, but if they just move troops within their territory, tents may change color with drastic change in number
On top of that, you can't even have HD resolutions, and the 3D is clearly software rendered: textures warp like the PS1 version, as I imagine they had to program their own Z Buffer that the PS1 doesn't natively have, and transferred it over to the PC version.
I'd say it's underdeveloped. You don't know in advance where you'll be forced to play minigames unless you remember it from previous playthroughs or use a guide. I won the Whack a Roman minigame twice when I played today, but the Bowl a Roman minigame (which I didn't encounter today) is just bullshit, if you don't send enough cauldrons you will lose no matter how hard you try.
And why is Borderless Gaming so fucking useless? I only remember it working with XXL.
> Missing music, missing HUD elements
@Martyste Tendertail It works fine for me on PS1 emulators
Your problem is having the .cue file missing
That's why there is no music

@Stinkek That depends on the difficulty you choose
I only played on the lowest difficulty
That's why you get easy minigames
