This site mentions the name, but the page itself seems to be for the Mansion of the Gods videogame by BigBen Interactive...

Here's a theory: Champions of Gaul (whatever it was) was supposed to come out alongside the Mansion of the Gods movie (sort of like XXL2-R came out together with the Secret of the Magic Potion film years later), but Ubisoft abandoned the project. Instead, BigBen Interactive was tasked to make something small fast.

To be clear, I only read the announcement for the game on some random gaming news site. I don't know if the announcement was on Ubi's official website, or if they even had a public news section on their site back then. So maybe it was all just made up 🤷‍♂️

This reminds me, I was once shown a forum with 3D models for a game in the works and title Asterix: Rise of the Gauls, which eventually turned out to be Asterix & Friends. But now that I try to visit it, it's gone
