I've bought Kao for the Switch, been having fun so far. I can tell from the moveset how some peeps likely found skips. The Roll shares similar properties to the Olympic Games dash, but far more controllable.
And compared to XXLR at least the game graphically justifies its 30FPS ( and sometimes less )
The speedrunners curse. Unable to play a game without thinking of how mechanics may allow one to break things :3
I swore to play it casually tho, for now haha
Besides speedrunning with 30FPS sometimes dipping isn't particuarly enjoyable.
In this new kao there are some skips that are only possible to do in stable 60 fps so rip [*]
If I wanted to speedrun it I'd buy it on PC anyway.

The art style reminds me of 3Ds
I'd say it's more PS1 style. Things like Megaman.
