Rubin is right. I still stand by my opinion, that there are definitely ways to better spend your time and contribute to society in a positive way, art isn't inherently imporant by itself, it is made important by other people. I failed to mention that in my posts yesterday
When measuring the worth of time spent by how it contributes to society and how well it allows one to grow and make money and all that. Then sitting down playing a video game with no future plan other than beating it becomes objectively a waste of time. Making your comment contradictory to that idea.
there are two things in life, things that make you move forward and things that will make you want to move forward. Both are equally as important and critical to our life. Art necessarily doesn't move us forward, but it definitely doesn't keep it at bay.
Can't have that both art is more of a waste of time than playing a game and having time spent be measured in contributions to society. Have to pick one or the other.
