Delete the SAVE folder... that's my only fix
It might happen if your controller has moved to a different slot within the computer.
Don't have a SAVE folder because i didn't even load in the game yet lol
I can't even select the language option on my keyboard
that's really odd, because the game relies on data in the SAVE folder to change anything
if there's no SAVE ( no file or folder ) the game shall let you choose with arrow keys and enter
try to change the gamemodule, after that only a reinstall will help.
