All I had to do, was to screencap the torch in front of something with a rather dark and flat color, pick that color, and turn my brush tool into "Erase color" instead of the usual "paint with this color"

And actually, we go from 30px to 40px with this upscale. The expected XXL resolution should be precisely 75% of 1400x1050.

1050x787.5.... so no, there wasn't an expected optimal resolution, but I'll try using it anyway and see if we get rid of the white filtering.

What I learned: To make the numbers for Spy's requests, multipliers and laurels, the devs apply some shade of yellow that can be reproduced almost to perfection with a semi transparent yellow brush with the "multiply" effect.

Here it is, lads, the most accurate HUD the game delivers on 1400x1050, a native 4:3 resolution. The pink edge is inside that frame, to help you center the image to any other 4:3 image. And now, I can have fun making a "fixed" version for both aspect ratios.
