Btw, when you punch of fly a lion to the moon on the GBA version, they don't make these "hurt cat" sound but... The sounds Romans make when you hit them. Which is very strange

Well I didnt play the gba version ever, that's why I was asking, but I have seen them appear in Rome in a playthrough I watched.

https://youtu.be/u85AHq2YyNs Black lions appear for the first time in Egypt. You can see them at 1:43:30. They just have double health points than normal lions. PS: This game is so strange... Any type of enemy can be at any province, so you can see Normans, pirates and lions in Helvetia.
